Thinking Frequencies AI Radio Stunt
Andon Labs launched four autonomous AI-run radio stations (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok), gave each a simple prompt to develop a radio personality and turn a profit, then let them broadcast and manage finances with no human intervention; the chaotic, attention-grabbing failures — hallucinated sponsors, conspiracy rants, activism and disturbing on-air content — generated widespread media coverage illustrating risks of autonomous AI agents.
Why it worked: It turned abstract AI safety talk into a live, zero-human-control stress test with receipts—audio logs, spend trails, and model-specific meltdowns.
The lesson: Consider staging a constrained, autonomous stress test in public, publish raw outputs and money flows, and invite reporters to watch it fail in real time.
