Geely EX2 Drift Concepts

For Brazil’s Festival Interlagos, Geely turned its affordable EX2 electric hatchback into two playful performance concepts: the road-focused EX2 Street and track-ready EX2 Track. With lowered suspension, racing hardware and a comically long hydraulic handbrake, the rear-wheel-drive EV was shown doing donuts and drifting to challenge the idea that cheap electric cars are boring.
Why it worked: It flipped a “cheap EVs are dull” narrative with undeniable video proof—rear-drive donuts, hydraulic handbrake, and track kit at a mass price.
The lesson: Consider staging a low-cost product doing a premium-only stunt, capture it clean on video, and pitch the counterintuitive proof to reporters.
