Divine: The Anti-AI Vine Revival

PR Campaign
Tuesday 18th August, 2026

Divine launched as a six-second, looping video app inspired by Vine, pairing an archive of more than two million original posts with a firm ban on AI-generated content. Its deliberately human, decentralised alternative to algorithmic “AI slop” gave the launch a clear cultural hook, while an early Taco Bell partnership added brand interest.

Why it worked: They timed a public-open switch with a hard “no-AI, in-app camera only” rule plus a 2M-video Vine archive—nostalgia meets anti-AI policy.

The lesson: Consider pitching a launch tied to a firm, testable anti-AI constraint and a restored cultural archive, then add one bold brand collab.
