BSI AI Toys Safety Survey
BSI commissioned and publicised a survey of 1,000 UK parents showing half of children own AI toys while parents express major safety and data concerns, using the research to call for new standards and a recognised safety mark for AI-enabled toys.
Why it worked: Fresh, proprietary polling quantified a fast-growing, kid-focused risk and paired it with a tangible fix: a proposed safety mark and standards roadmap.
The lesson: Consider fielding quick, statistically clean polling on an emerging household risk, then offer a concrete, regulator-ready standard or seal as the remedy.
