The timely data, released alongside fresh Met Office thunderstorm warnings, reframed flooding as a summer and urban risk rather than simply a winter problem.

Why it worked: It piggybacked a live Met Office warning with counterintuitive claims data that split “flood” into two perils, creating a fresh pricing/underwriting angle.

The lesson: Consider releasing fast-turn analysis that reframes a familiar risk by disaggregating one catch-all category into distinct, timely subtypes.
