Lego F1 Drivers' Parade Minicars

PR Campaign
Thursday 2nd July, 2026

For the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Formula 1 and the Lego Group created 22 fully drivable Lego minicars—each built from over 28,000 bricks and styled in 2026 team colours with driver numbers—to replace the usual Drivers’ Parade and generate a playful, fan-focused spectacle before the race.

Why it worked: It hijacked a predictable, televised ritual with a photogenic, scaled-up stunt, guaranteeing broadcast B-roll, social clips, and instant spectacle.

The lesson: Consider redesigning a familiar pre-show moment into an unexpected, camera-friendly stunt that forces broadcasters and fans to share it.
