Docker’s Cloud Sandboxes for AI Agents
At the WeAreDevelopers Conference, Docker demonstrated an AI agent finding a locally stored secret through a regular container’s mounted Docker socket, then showed the same agent blocked inside a sandbox running as a micro-VM. The company used that security test to introduce hosted Cloud Sandboxes, giving developers a way to run agents away from local files.
Why it worked: A live, side-by-side jailbreak demo created urgent proof-of-failure and proof-of-fix, tied to fresh containment-breach headlines, making it irresistible.
The lesson: Consider staging a controlled “break then block” demo against a common tool, timed to a public incident, and offer a turnkey fix.
