Renault’s Record-Breaking Anamorphic Print
Renault commissioned artist François Abélanet to create a record-breaking anamorphic artwork in central Lyon. Made from 25 sewn-together sections, the giant print created the illusion of pedestrians walking above a city and mountainous landscape, turning a vehicle launch into a striking public spectacle.
Why it worked: It hit a fresh Guinness World Record during a public install, giving journalists a verifiable superlative plus striking, filmable visuals.
The lesson: Consider engineering a measurable “world’s first/biggest” moment in a high-footfall location with a live reveal and simple proof.
