The World’s Largest Hoosier Cabinet

To mark its 150th anniversary, Coppes Napanee built a 30-foot, climbable replica of a Hoosier cabinet in Nappanee, Indiana. The oversized version of the company’s historic kitchen furniture turns its former factory site into an unlikely tourist attraction and gives a forgotten American household icon a fresh reason to make the news.
Why it worked: It used a guinnessable superlative (world’s largest), tied to a concrete anniversary event, plus a photogenic, visitable object locals can climb.
