EU rollout of Digital Identity Wallets (EUDI Wallets)

The EU rollout of EUDI Wallets is a standardised digital identity system under eIDAS 2.0 that will let citizens and businesses securely hold and share verifiable identity credentials across member states, with at least one certified wallet required from each country by the end of 2026. This gives Wise a chance to be part of the cross-border payments conversation — secure, portable digital IDs could streamline customer onboarding, KYC and cross-border compliance for your UK and European customers and partners.
