Sunday 12th July, 2026 Gibraltar and Spain will remove 118‑year‑old border controls from 15 July, allowing freer movement and aligning Gibraltar with EU customs and Schengen rules. This gives Wise a chance to talk about smoother cross‑border payments and cheaper transfers for commuters and businesses between Gibraltar and Spain (UK/EU).
