Fleet Street redesign proposals unveiled
Saturday 30th May, 2026
The City of London has published two design options for a £9.5m transformation of historic Fleet Street, proposing wider pavements, more seating and planting, and greater space for walking, wheeling and cycling, with one option restricting eastbound motor traffic; a public consultation runs until 27 July and construction could start in late 2027. This gives Rightmove a chance to comment on how improved streetscape and increased footfall in the City could boost local residential and rental appeal, influence neighbourhood desirability for buyers and tenants, and affect demand for nearby properties in central London.
