Piccadilly line new train fleet entry into service
Tuesday 1st December, 2026
The London Underground’s Piccadilly line is introducing a new £3.4bn train fleet into passenger service from December 2026 to June 2027, bringing air-conditioning, walk-through carriages and higher frequency and capacity on central and west London routes. This gives Rightmove a chance to talk about how improved comfort and capacity could affect commuter appeal and residential demand in West and Central London — useful context for buyers, renters and agents across the UK as journeys and neighbourhood desirability shift.
