G7 unites on child online safety and AI
Friday 29th May, 2026
G7 ministers agreed a first-ever common approach to protect children online and promote safe, trustworthy AI, including commitments on age assurance, digital literacy, detecting AI-generated content, and an OECD-backed tool to help SMEs adopt AI. This gives LEGO a clear opportunity to reaffirm its role in promoting safe, creative play and digital literacy for children—especially in the UK and EU—by highlighting how play-forward design and educational initiatives fit within broader efforts to keep kids safe online.
Why have we flagged this?
The G7's joint approach to child online safety and safe AI is major, and LEGO can credibly comment on digital literacy, play safety and AI's role in child-focused products.
