Integration of EU age-verification app into national Digital Identity Wallets

The EU has launched a privacy-focused age-verification app that member states can either offer standalone or embed into their national Digital Identity Wallets, part of the European Digital Identity Wallet rollout required by end of 2026. This gives Lego a chance to comment on safe, privacy-preserving age checks for online toy sales, digital platforms and parental controls across the EU — including the UK-adjacent market conversations — where consistent, interoperable verification could affect how children access Lego’s online experiences and marketing.
