UK government parental leave and pay review conclusion

The UK government launched a wide review of the country’s parental leave and pay system in July 2025 to assess maternity, paternity, shared parental leave and statutory pay and consider reforms; the review’s findings and next steps are expected once analysis of consultation responses is complete. The government has not published a firm conclusion date and has indicated the review will run for around 18 months, with publication expected in late 2026 to early 2027.
