UK government AI tutoring pilots (Pioneer Group)
Monday 15th June, 2026
The UK government is running co-designed pilots (Pioneer Group) to trial AI-powered tutoring tools in schools, checking safety, curriculum alignment and effectiveness with the aim of scaling personalised tutoring for disadvantaged pupils across regional trials in 2026 and wider availability by 2027. This gives Lego’s PR team a chance to talk about learning and play in the UK, and how creative, hands-on products sit alongside digital tutoring in supporting equitable, age-appropriate education outcomes.
Why have we flagged this?
Strong alignment: Lego can credibly position its hands-on, play-based learning offerings as complementary to AI tutoring—pitch pilots, joint classroom resources, research or expert commentary on blended learning and equitable outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
