EU rollout of Digital Identity Wallets (EUDI Wallets)

The EU rollout of Digital Identity Wallets (EUDI Wallets) is a new, standardised digital identity system under eIDAS 2.0 that will let people and businesses across EU member states hold and share verified identity credentials; member states must offer at least one certified wallet by the end of 2026, with pilots happening now. This gives Lego’s PR team a chance to talk about digital safety, parental controls and safe account verification for kids and families across the EU (including the UK-facing market conversations), since trusted, privacy-preserving identity tools affect how children and parents access online services and verify age or membership.
