The European Commission fined a major online marketplace under the Digital Services Act and has ordered it to submit, by 28 August 2026, a detailed action plan explaining how it will fix failures in risk assessment and stop illegal or unsafe products being sold; EU regulators will review the plan and can impose further measures if it’s inadequate. This matters for Lego because marketplaces are a key sales channel where counterfeit, unsafe or non-compliant toys can harm brand reputation and consumer safety, so this gives you a chance to comment on product safety and trusted retailing in the EU (including the UK market conversation).
