EU Tourism Strategy launch
Tuesday 1st September, 2026
The European Commission will publish a tourism strategy in autumn 2026 setting policies on competitiveness, workforce training, climate resilience, crisis preparedness and sustainable transport across the EU.
This gives Airbnb a chance to comment on EU plans that affect travel demand, host training and sustainable transport in the EU, including potential impacts on bookings and hosting standards.
Why have we flagged this?
Direct and high-impact: the EU tourism strategy covers regulation, workforce, sustainability and crisis planning — all areas that affect Airbnb’s operations, hosts and guests across Europe and where Airbnb can credibly lead with data, policy proposals, commitments and partnership announcements.
