Judi Dench Theatre renaming ceremony
Monday 1st February, 2027
The Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End will be renamed the ‘Judi Dench Theatre’ after refurbishment, with the ceremony planned for February 2027 following a mid‑2026 announcement. This gives Airbnb’s PR team a timely cultural hook to comment on London theatre tourism and unique West End stays, as the renaming will likely drive renewed interest in theatre visits and short‑term bookings in nearby neighbourhoods in the UK.
Why have we flagged this?
The renaming could renew interest in West End visits, giving you a reason to share London stay ideas if it prompts a clear lift in guest demand.
